Connecting Make.com to Gmail can be challenging. Make.com works seamlessly with Google Workspace accounts, but for regular Google accounts (email addresses ending in @gmail or @googlemail), you’ll need to create a custom OAuth client in the Google Cloud Console to obtain connection credentials. Here’s how:
For Google Workspace Accounts
The process is similar to connecting Google Sheets:

Add a Gmail module (e.g., Watch Emails) to your scenario by clicking the large "+" icon.
Select Create a Connection to connect Make with Gmail.
Click Sign in with Google and log into your Google account.
For Regular Google Accounts
Create a New Project in Google Cloud Console
Log in to Google Cloud Console, select Create or Select a Project, then click New Project.
Name your project, select a location, and click Create.
Enable Gmail API
Navigate to your project’s dashboard, go to APIs & Services, and select Library.
Search for and enable the Gmail API.

Go to OAuth Consent Screen under APIs & Services. Choose External for the User Type, then click Create.
Fill in App Information: Add "Make" as the App Name and your email as the User Support Email.
In Authorized Domains, add make.com and integromat.com.
Add your email to Developer Contact Information.
Save and continue for all remaining steps.
Create Gmail Client Credentials
In APIs & Services, go to Credentials and select Create Credentials > OAuth Client ID.
Choose Web Application for the Application Type.
Name it "Make."
Add this URL to Authorized Redirect URIs: https://www.integromat.com/oauth/cb/google-restricted/.
Click Create, then copy the Client ID and Client Secret for later use.
Publish your app in the OAuth Consent Screen section.
Connect to Make.com
In Make, follow steps 1–3 as above. In the Create a Connection dialog box, click Show Advanced Settings.
